Mark J. Levine – Gci Venture Partners

MARK J. LEVINE is the Managing Member of GCI Venture Partners. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Fund, deal flow and review, due diligence and post-investment management of the partnership's portfolio. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Officer of GEO-CENTERS, INC. for 15 years. Mr. Levine was a Subcommittee Staff Director of the Small Business Committee in the US House of Representatives from 1979-1985. He was involved in several successful legislative/regulatory initiatives including: the Small Business Innovation Development ACT (SIBR), The Small Business and University Patent Act, The Competition in Contracting Act (CICA), The Prompt Payment Act, the Regulatory Flexibility Act, and numerous amendments to the DoD, EPS, NIH, SBA DoE Authorization bills. Mr. Levine is a member/observer on the Boards of Directors of Viaken, Claragen, RF Technologies, Thingworld.com, NexTone, and NewCommNet. His civic and business activities include serving on the Boards of Trustees of the Maret School and Temple Sinai, the Advisory Board of Marshfield Associates (investment management), and as Vice Chair and Executive Committee Member of the Professional Services Council.
