Mel Robinson – Hotel Reservations Network Inc (room)

MEL W. ROBINSON joined Hotel Reservations Network, Inc., in September 2000 as its Chief Financial and Strategic Officer. He contributes to HRN on a broad level, applying his knowledge and experience in the travel industry, financial management skills, deal making ability and strategic judgment, as the company continues to focus on rapid growth and generating excellent returns for its shareholders. Before joining HRN, he served from 1997 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development with Travel Services International. From 1994 to 1997, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Cruises Only, the largest specialized cruise seller in the US, and directed that company's participation in the complex five'company merger/IPO through which Travel Services International was formed. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s Mr. Robinson held senior management positions with several companies in the consumer and financial services industries. From 1989 to 1993 he served as President and CFO of the Gale Group, a consumer products manufacturing firm. From 1986 to 1989 he was Managing Director and Founder of the Growth Capital Group of PNC Merchant Banking Company, which specialized in private placements of institutional equity for high growth companies. From 1983 to 1986 he was CFO of Drug Emporium, a publicly held discount drugstore chain. From 1979 to 1983 he was a commercial loan officer with Pittsburgh National Bank.
