RICHARD L. KINZEL is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cedar Fair
Management Company, the managing general partner of Cedar Fair, L.P.,
which owns and operates five amusement parks and four water parks. Mr.
Kinzel also serves on the Board of Directors of Cedar Fair Management
Company. He has held both positions since December 1986. Prior to his
election to these positions, Mr. Kinzel served as the Vice President and
General Manager of Valleyfair when it was acquired by Cedar Point, Inc.
in 1978. He was elected Vice President of Cedar Point, Inc. in 1979, and
retained both positions when Cedar Fair acquired Cedar Point, Inc. in
1983. Mr. Kinzel began his career in the amusement park industry at
Cedar Point in 1972. He worked in food Service for three years before
becoming the Director of Park Operations at Cedar Point in 1975. He held
this position until his promotion to General Manager of Valleyfair when
it was acquired by Cedar Point in 1978. A Toledo native, he attended the
University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. He has also received an Honorary
Doctorate degree from Bowling Green State University. Profile
