R. STEPHEN HEINRICHS is one of Avistar Communications Corporation's
founders and has been Vice Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and
Secretary since March 2000. He has been Chairman of Avistar Systems
Corporation, its predecessor limited partnership, since 1993 and served
as Chief Executive Officer from 1993 to 1997 and Chief Financial Officer
from 1993 to the present. Avistar Systems Corporation is a wholly owned
subsidiary of the company. Mr. Heinrichs is a Director of Collaboration
Properties, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. From 1976
through 1989 he was Chief Financial Officer of Teknekron and Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer of several Teknekron companies. He is one of
the founders and a Director of Vicor, Inc. He has been Chairman of
Western Data Systems of Nevada, Inc. since 1990. Mr. Heinrichs holds a
BS from California State University in Fresno in Accounting. He is a
