TERRY W. RATHERT joined Joe B. Foster as Founder of Newfield Exploration
Company in 1989. He is currently Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
and Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining Newfield, Mr. Rathert was
Director of Economic Planning & Analysis for Tenneco Oil Exploration and
Production Company. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers
and the Independent Petroleum Association of America. Mr. Rathert
received a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and
serves on the Petroleum Engineering Department's Industry Advisory
Board. Mr. Rathert completed The Management Program at Rice University. Profile
