PETER NEUPERT is President and CEO of drugstore.com, Inc., a leading
online drugstore and information site offering A Very Healthy Way to
Shop for health, beauty, wellness, personal care, and pharmacy products.
It was under his leadership that drugstore.com secured and has
continually expanded long-term, strategic partnerships with Amazon.com,
Rite Aid Corporation and General Nutrition Companies. In 2000, Mr.
Neupert received an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and
with Mr. Neupert at the helm, the company has earned top rankings from
prestigious third-party reviewers including Forrester Research and Gomez
Advisors. Prior to drugstore.com, Mr. Neupert spent more than 11 years
at Microsoft, most recently as Vice President of News and Publishing for
Microsoft's interactive media group. He was responsible for Slate, and
Microsoft's media business partnerships including MSNBC Cable and
Internet and MSBET. In addition, he was responsible for online ad sales
and business development for the Interactive Media Group. Before MSNBC,
Mr. Neupert was Senior Director of Strategic Relationships for
Microsoft's advanced consumer technology group. Mr. Neupert was Vice
President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer of Graphic Software
Systems in Portland, Oregon, before he joined Microsoft. He holds a
Master's of Business Administration degree from the Amos Tuck School of
Business at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the

TWST: Could we begin with a historical sketch of the company and anoverview?
Mr. Neupert: Our company was founded in July 1998. We launched our
Website in February of 1999. We're the number
