MICHAEL SYMONS is the Chief Executive Officer of Helphire Group plc. He
came to Helphire in 1992, from an entrepreneurial background. He is a
qualified solicitor and has also spent some time in property
development, as well as setting up a car registration business whilst a
student. He approached Helphire from a legal perspective, taking a long
term professional view whilst growing the business quickly. Mr Symons'
innovative approach has had a strong effect on Helphire. The company was
one of the first credit hirers to provide a service to comprehensive
policyholders (not just third party policyholders), the first to build a
substantial credit repair business, the first to underwrite credit hire
and repair as insured risks, and the first to market such a policy
