Bryan Black – Recognition Systems Group Plc (rgs.l)

BRYAN BLACK is the Chief Executive of Recognition Systems Group Plc, where he has grown the company to be a major player in the customer relationship management (CRM) market. Recognition Systems is well positioned to become the leading supplier of multi-channel campaign management software in the global market. The company's Internet solutions are expected to drive rapid growth over the next three years. Mr Black expects this growth to be driven by continued expansion in the US, with increased contributions from the company's partners. He also believes European and Pan-Asian revenue will accelerate from 1999 onwards as the company establishes several major reference accounts. Mr Black joined Recognition Systems in 1997 as Group Sales Director for the company. In 1999 he was named Chief Executive. Prior to joining Recognition Systems, Mr Black was the business alliance manager of applications for Oracle UK. He has been the Managing Director of Pilot Software and Vice President of the Americas for McCormack & Dodge in Boston, USA. In his three years as Vice President at McCormack & Dodge, Mr Black helped grow the company's revenue from $7 million to $14 million. Mr Black resides in Oxted, Surrey, England. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He graduated from Liverpool University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
