Jay Flatley – Illumina Inc (ilmn)

JAY FLATLEY has served as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of Illumina, Inc. since October 1999. Prior to joining Illumina, Mr. Flatley was co-Founder, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Molecular Dynamics, a life sciences company, from May 1994 to September 1999. He served in various other positions with that company from 1987 to 1994. From 1985 to 1987, Mr. Flatley was Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of Strategic Planning at Plexus Computers, a UNIX computer company. Mr. Flatley serves on the Boards of Directors of Bruker AXS, which provides advanced x-ray solutions to life and material scientists, and Cimarron Software, a privately held firm that develops software for bioinformatics applications. Mr. Flatley holds a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. Profile
