JAMES R. MURPHY became President of Bentley Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in
September 1994, was named Chief Executive Officer effective January 1995
and became Chairman of the Board in June 1995. Prior to rejoining the
company, Mr. Murphy served as Vice President of Business Development at
MacroChem Corporation, a publicly owned pharmaceutical and drug delivery
company, from 1993 through 1994. Prior thereto, Mr. Murphy worked in
basic pharmaceutical research and product development with SmithKline
Corporation, and international business development with contract
research and consulting laboratories. Mr. Murphy received a BA in
Biology from Millersville University and attended the Massachusetts
School of Law in 1993 and 1994. Profile
