DOREEN CHIU is President and Chief Executive Officer of ATG, Inc., based
in Fremont, California. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin in
1976, she is a Certified Public Accountant by training. Over the last 15
years, Ms. Chiu has invested in and sold various companies including her
CPA practice, a mail order company, and an analytical laboratory. Along
with her husband Frank, Ms. Chiu acquired ATG in 1984 and has led the
company into waste management and remediation opportunities. Under her
leadership, ATG has grown to be the only company with radioactive waste
processing facilities in the Western and Eastern United States with over
85% of the nuclear utility plants under contract. Ms. Chiu is currently
focusing on the international market for waste management and recently
won a contract from Taiwan Power. Ms. Chiu has been a member of several
international trade missions with the US Department of Energy as well as
an active participant in the international Venture Capital arena. She is
the winner of the 1994 SBA Contractor of the Year for Region IX, which
includes the states of California, Arizona, Hawaii, and Nevada. Ms. Chiu
was selected by the Working Woman Magazine to be included on the list of
the top 500 largest woman owned businesses in the United States. She was
also selected as one of the '50 Most Influential Women in the Bay Area'
by the San Francisco Business Times & the San Jose & Silicon Valley
