Max Wallace – Cogent Neuroscience Inc

MAX N. WALLACE, President and CEO, Cogent Neuroscience, Inc. has an extensive history in biotechnology, having co-founded Sphinx Pharmaceuticals (cellular signal transduction), Trimeris (viral fusion inhibition) and SARCO (small molecule combinatorial chemistry). He served as President and as a member of the Board of Directors of both Trimeris and SARCO. Sphinx had a successful public offering and was subsequently acquired by Eli Lilly & Co. Trimeris had successful initial and secondary public offerings and, with partner Hoffman LaRoche, is moving its first two anti-HIV drugs through clinical trials. SARCO was acquired by PPD/Pharmaco. In addition, Mr. Wallace was a founding management director of Duke Management Company, Duke University's asset management company.
