Jim Young – Sunesis Pharmaceuticals Inc

DR. Jim W. Young became CEO of Sunesis in May 2000. Previously, Dr. Young served as Group Vice President of ALZA Corporation's Technologies division. At ALZA, he was responsible for R&D programs that led to several successful in-house and client-sponsored new drug applications with the FDA. Prior to this, Dr. Young was President of the pharmaceuticals division at Affymax, NV and senior Vice President and General Manager of the pharmaceuticals division of Sepracor Inc. Dr. Young also held a number of positions during 17 years at Zoecon Corporation/Sandoz Crop Protection Corporation, most recently as vice president of research. Dr. Young earned his PhD degree in Organic Chemistry from Cornell University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Fordham University in New York. Profile
