Moish Tov – Skila Inc

MOISH TOV founded Skila, Inc. in 1994 just before the Internet explosion. Mr. Tov envisioned that intelligence and knowledge would drive the health care industry. Building Skila as a second generation Internet and e-knowledge company, Mr. Tov led a small and exclusive group of young CEOs who built new business models around intelligence and knowledge. This propelled the development of the Internet and the new e-health market. Poised by information, Mr. Tov built Skila as the new leader defining the next generation of Internet and healthcare companies. This led the Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Medical Device companies to become learning and knowledge communities. Mr. Tov has a diverse and most unusual career. Born and raised in a small 'kibbutz' community in Israel, he enjoyed one of the best education systems in the world and from a young age learned the value of 'hard work'. Upon joining the Israeli army, he grew up to lead one of the most prestigious IDF Special Forces where he led and participated in many complex and risky special operations. Most of all, he again enjoyed one of the best leadership schools in the world, which later helped him in the business area. Following his army career, Mr. Tov spent two years travelling the Americas, exposing himself to new cultures and ideas. Back in Israel Mr. Tov managed a Bio-Agriculture Farm. In the mid-eighties he moved into the Medical Device industry and worked in a company which manufactured laser machines for surgeries and other imaging products. During this part of his career he held different executive positions in Israel and Europe where he learned the power of a global market. Mr. Tov moved into the US in 1988 and lives with his wife and two boys in New Jersey. Mr. Tov graduated with honors from SMG Business School, Boston University with a special interest in Information Management. He holds a BA in Economics and Business Management from the Rupin Institute in Israel. Profile
