KOEN BATSLEER is the Chief Financial Officer of EPIQ. He worked for the
Generale Bank from 1986 until 1991. From 1992 on, he has been working as
a financial consultant. In 1998, Mr Batsleer was appointed Chief
Financial Officer of EPIQ, which function he will combine with his
consulting activities. Koen Batsleer is a commercial engineer, with
additional degrees in information technology and finance. Profile
JOHAN THYS is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of
Directors. He graduated as technical engineer automation in 1969. He
also obtained an MBA at the LUC in Diepenbeek (Belgium). Mr Thys started
his professional career in 1970 at Philips. Starting as a quality
responsible, he soon became quality manager of Philips Eindhoven. In
1980 he was Project Manager of a big project and in 1981 he became the
Sales Manager of the Philips plant in Lommel (Belgium). Two years later
he also received the extra responsibilities as Sales and Material
Manager. Later Mr Thys was Production Responsible in Eindhoven and
Production Manager in Philips Hasselt (Belgium). In 1989 he became the
factory manager in Hasselt and from 1993 to 1996 he had the
responsibility of Philips PMF Belgium as Managing Director. In 1996 he
became, together with Jan van der Velden, shareholder of Fremach
International through a management buy in. He took on the
responsibilities as Managing Director and turned it, together with his
business partner, into a profitable organisation. After the merger of
Fremach and EPIQ in July 2000 Mr Thys has been nominated CEO and
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EPIQ group. Profile
