PETER RATCLIFFE is the Chief Executive Officer of P&O Princess Cruises Plc. He has been with P&O since 1973. He was appointed Head of P&O's cruise division in February 2000, having served as President of Princess Cruises since May 1993 and its Chief Operating Officer since 1989. He joined Princess Cruises in 1986 as Chief Financial Officer and was subsequently Vice President of customer services. His early career was spent with P&O Containers Limited in London and Sydney. Prior to his career with P&O, he worked for a London accounting firm which he joined upon his graduation from Cambridge University. Prior to the creation of P&O Princess Cruises, Peter Ratcliffe was an Executive Director on P&O. He served as the Chairman of the International Council of Cruise Lines in 1997 and 1998. Profile
