JERRY KENT is President and Chief Executive Officer of Charter
Communications, Inc. A 20-year veteran of the cable television industry,
he began his career as an officer of Cencom Cable Associates, Inc.,
acquired by Crown Media. In 1993, Mr. Kent co-founded Charter
Communications and reacquired his former company from Crown Media a year
later. Under his leadership, Charter has completed more than $15 billion
in acquisitions and achieved customer growth that is twice the industry
average. Mr. Kent serves on the Board of Directors of Charter
Communications Inc., Com21 Inc., C-SPAN, High Speed Access Corp., the
National Cable Television Association and its Executive Committee,
CableLabs, and Vulcan. He was honored by Washington University's Olin
School of Business as a recipient of the Distinguished Business Alumni
Award. In 1998, he was recognized as one of CableFax Magazine's Top Ten
