Eldon Miller – Stockwalk.com Group Inc (stok)

ELDON C. MILLER is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stockwalk.com Group, Inc., the parent company of the full-service regional brokerage subsidiary Miller, Johnson & Kuehn, Inc.; and Stockwalk.com, the online investment subsidiary. Stockwalk.com Group became a publicly traded company in July 1999, and represents another entrepreneurial milestone in Mr. Miller's career. The idea to open his own investment brokerage came when he was already successful as the top bond salesperson and officer in another local brokerage firm. His success at Miller & Schroeder fueled his desire to run his own financial services firm. The idea became reality when he opened the doors of Miller Securities on March 4, 1981. Since then, he has orchestrated the transformation of a tiny fixed income (bonds only) operation to a thriving full-service company (now dba Miller, Johnson & Kuehn, Inc.) and a new and promising e-commerce subsidiary (Stockwalk.com). Other accomplishments include the purchase of Juran & Moody of St. Paul in 1997, a well-respected fixed income firm, and more recently the purchase of Arnold Securities of Minneapolis and M.one Securities of San Francisco, an online broker offering securities in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. His major accomplishment is the re-engineering of MJK to embrace online investing and consequently the well-publicized launch of Stockwalk.com last year. In an age where dot-com companies are generally run by young entrepreneurs, Mr. Miller has chosen to lead his firm into the new millennium by taking his company public, embracing e-commerce and totally revamping the firm's business model. He earned a Graduate degree in Banking at the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, and was one of the youngest graduates. Profile
