Carol Baldwin – Acta Technology Inc

CAROL MILLS BALDWIN is the President and CEO of Acta Technology, Inc. Prior to joining the company, she spent 17 years in several executive positions at HP, most recently serving since 1993 as General Manager of the Enterprise Systems Division (ESY) of Hewlett-Packard Company's Computer Systems Organization (CSO), responsible for all aspects of the company's HP 9000 server business. During Mrs. Mills Baldwin's tenure as General Manager, HP became the leader in UNIX server solutions and a pioneer in data warehousing, mainframe alternatives, distributed computing, electronic commerce and Internet technologies. Under her guidance, the division's revenues grew from $1 billion to $4.5 billion while exceeding sales quota and profit goals each year. Mrs. Mills Baldwin's responsibilities included strategy, planning, R&D, marketing, finance, manufacturing, business development, strategic alliances and human resources. Prior to joining HP, she served as a Software Engineer for the Bank of Boston and Cullinet Corporation (now Computer Associates). Mrs. Mills Baldwin earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics at Smith College and a Master's in Business Administration at Harvard University. She currently serves on the board of Adobe Systems.
