ROBERT W. RIEDER is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of
Nortran Pharmaceuticals Inc. Mr. Rieder has over 10 years of experience
in the venture capital industry, including five years as Vice President
of MDS Ventures Pacific Inc., focused solely on medical investments. His
business experience includes a period as COO of DBA Telecom, one year as
acting CEO of Synapse Technologies Inc. and seven years as a Director of
StressGen Biotechnologies Corp. Mr. Rieder has an Undergraduate degree
in Chemical Engineering (UBC, 1969) and a Master's degree in Business
Administration (UWO, 1984). Mr. Rieder currently serves as a Director on
