Theodore Venners – Kfx Inc (kfx)

THEODORE VENNERS, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of KFx Inc., has directed KFx and its predecessor entities since their inception in 1981. Previously a Founding Partner of Fort Union Mine Partnership, which was purchased by Compagnie Francaise des Petroles (TOTAL), Mr. Venners formed K-Fuel Partnership in 1984. He began his business career as Assistant to the Governor of South Dakota, after which he formed his own real estate sales and development company. Mr. Venners served on the Heritage Foundation's Transition Committee for Federal Mineral Leasing under the Reagan Administration and in 1987 was appointed a charter member of the National Coal Council, an advisory organization to the Secretary of the US Department of Energy.
