PETER HARDY is the Chief Executive of Hardy Underwriting Group Plc. He
started his career at Lloyd's in 1959 with C.T. Bowring (now Marsh), and
trained in Marine Hull and Cargo underwriting. Mr Hardy followed his
father, becoming Underwriter of Marine Syndicate 30 in 1969, and set up
Syndicate 382 in 1975. He started Hardy (Underwriting Agencies) Ltd in
