European Real Estate Stocks : Ian Marcus – Credit First Suisse Boston

IAN MARCUS is a Director and a Managing Partner of the European Real Estate Investment Banking Group of Credit Suisse First Boston in London. The Group, formed in 1999, fulfils the role as an industry coverage group but also has the capacity to commit equity capital as a principal, with a particular preference to invest in asset banking businesses as a passive minority investor. Ian is a graduate of Cambridge University, and has worked in the real estate sector for 20 years as an advisor, stockbroker, debt and equity capital markets specialist and direct investor. He previously worked for Bank of America, UBS, NatWest and Bankers Trust, always focusing on the real estate market. His CV includes acting for the British Government in the largest ever property deal in the UK, the sale of 57,000 properties for the Ministry of Defence.
