Wolfgang Spegg

WOLFGANG SPEGG is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director
of musicmusicmusic inc. A true entrepreneur, he’s had a long and
intrepid career in the music and technology industries. Wolfgang was
born in Rosenheim, Bavaria, Germany. After high school, he got an MBA at
York University in Boston, Mass. USA, where he earned a Bachelor of
Science degree. Then he got an MBA at York University in Toronto, Canada
majoring in marketing. Eschewing pinstripe suits, Wolfgang instead
bought a heavy-duty black leather jacket and began working in the
recording industry. From 1972 to 1978 he worked in management at Capitol
Records, Inc., Germandisk Records and PJ Imports Inc. When the punk
movement came along, it took Wolfgang with it; he quit his job, bought a
more beat-up leather jacket, and established his own record company
under the anarchistically named Bomb Records – in collaboration with
Columbia Records and Teldec, among others. In 1984, the technology wave
picked Wolfgang up and dropped him down in the telecommunications field.
He started a new company called Metrotech (telex equipment), which
evolved into PC system and music processing system design. But Wolfgang
couldn’t stay away from the music business. One early, stormy morning
after a party, he got a brainwave about a way to store all your music on
an “electronic jukebox.” This brainwave became the basis for
musicmusicmusic, which he set up in 1996. Four years later, Wolfgang is
glad to be a central figure in helping to promote music, his life-long
passion.
