William F. Peare

WILLIAM F. PEARE is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and a
Director of Trendwest Resorts Inc., the pioneer of purely point-based
vacation club products. Mr. Peare also serves as a Director of
WorldMark, The Club, the non-profit mutual-benefit corporation that owns
and manages the resorts developed by Trendwest. From 1975-1982, Mr.
Peare served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Thousand Trails
Inc., the nation’s largest membership campground company founded by
entrepreneur Milton G. ‘Milt’ Kuolt II. In 1983 Mr. Peare established
All Seasons Resorts, Inc., a publicly traded membership campground
company that he co-founded with Robert C. Pappas, Richard Toohey, and
Ralph Sites. He served as Chief Executive Officer there until 1985. From
1985-1987, Mr. Peare once again teamed up with Milt Kuolt when he joined
Horizon Airlines, a regional airline for the Pacific Northwest that Mr.
Kuolt had established in 1981. As Senior Vice President, Mr. Peare
supervised 500 service employees on the non-aircraft side of the
operation, including flight attendants, marketing and sales, and
counter, ground and ramp services. After the sale of Horizon to Alaska
Airlines, Mr. Peare (with the assistance of Horizon CFO Mel Kays) helped
Milt Kuolt renovate a property in Sun Valley, Idaho. He served as a
management consultant for Elkhorn Resort through 1989.
