Vic Cocker

VIC COCKER became the Group Chief Executive of Severn Trent plc in 1995,
and was Managing Director of Severn Trent Water from 1991-95. He was a
member of the Water Industry privatisation team from 1987-89. Mr. Cocker
has strong interests in environmental issues and is a member of the
World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the Advisory
Committee on Business in the Environment and a member of the Midlands
Leadership Team for Business in the Community. He is also interested in
promoting business excellence concepts including Director of Midlands
Excellence, and is a member of Fit for the Future Benchmarking
Initiative and founder sponsor of Service Probe, which was developed in
conjunction with the London Business School and the CBI. He is also a
non-executive Director of Aquafin and Railtrack plc. Mr. Cocker holds a
degree in Economics from Nottingham University.
