TONY WILLIAMS is Chairman of European Diamonds Plc, a UK listed company
exploring for diamonds in Finland. He is also Chairman and principal of
the Dragon Group a privately owned mining finance organisation which he
founded in 1995. Mr Williams graduated from the Royal School of Mines,
London University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in
mining geology. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Royal
Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a Member of the Institute of
Quarrying. He has almost 30 years of experience in the international
mining industry and has been involved in projects in the Americas,
Australia, Africa, Europe and the former Soviet Union covering a range
of technical, financial and legal aspects. From 1986 to 1995, Mr
Williams co-founded and led the Natural Resources group of a Canadian
Stockbroker which became a world leader in exploration and development
financing. From 1972 to1986 he held several appointments as a geologist
in the natural resources industry specialising in mineral valuation and
project financing.
