Tom Cigarran

TOM CIGARRAN is Chairman and CEO of American Healthways, Inc., a
healthcare management company headquartered in Nashville. Today
AMHC provides comprehensive diabetes, cardiac, respiratory and
other care enhancement programs for managed care organizations
and has over 800,000 individuals nationwide currently
participating in these programs. AMHC also operates hospital-
based programs for the treatment of diabetes in 78 hospitals
nationwide. Mr. Cigarran also serves as Chairman of AmSurg Corp.
(NASDAQ: AMSG), a single specialty practice-based ambulatory
surgery center company that was spunoff from AMHC into a separate
public company in December, 1997. He has served as a director of
International Clinical Laboratories, Inc. (ICL), Corporate Family
Solutions, Inc. (CFAM), Clintrials Research, Inc. (CCRO), Meretek
Diagnostics, Inc., and Genderm, Inc. Mr. Cigarran received a
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Villanova University
and a Master of Business Administration degree from the New York
University Graduate School of Business.
