CLAUDE H. NASH is a co-founder of ViroPharma, Inc., and has served as
Chairman of the Board of Directors since February 1997, and as Chief
Executive Officer, President and Director since the company's
commencement of operations in December 1994. From 1983 until 1994, Dr.
Nash served as Vice President, Infectious Disease and Tumor Biology at
