TERRANCE A. SMITH, Chairman, President and CEO of Tumbleweed, Inc., has
worked in a wide range of management positions over the past 30 years,
including restaurant operations, food production, international concept
development and franchising. He has experience in every phase of
restaurant operations and in most restaurant concept formats. These
years of experience have included positions with Ralston Purina,
Marriott, Pizza Hut/PepsiCo, international consulting, Chi-Chi’s Mexican
restaurants, Pizzeria Regina, Polcari’s and Tumbleweed Southwest
Mesquite Grill. He has organized and directed Tumbleweed’s domestic and
international expansion into Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the
Far East. He is Chairman of the Board of Tumbleweed, Inc. and also
serves on the Board of PJ America Inc. Prior to becoming President and
CEO of Tumbleweed, Inc., Mr. Smith served as President of Tumbleweed
International and was President of Chi-Chi’s International prior to
joining Tumbleweed Southwest Grill. Prior to his current position, he
lived in Brussels, Belgium, and worked throughout Europe, Africa, the
Middle East and Asia developing restaurant concepts.
