Stephen N. Kahane

STEPHEN N. KAHANE M.D., M.S., is the CEO, President and Chairman of AMICAS.
Under Dr. Kahane’s leadership and direction, AMICAS has become one of the
largest and most influential providers of image and information management
solutions in the healthcare market. Previously, Dr. Kahane was Chief Strategy
Officer and Vice Chairman of the board of directors for VitalWorks, Inc., a
leading provider of healthcare information management technology, including
practice management and Electronic Medical Records for physician office
practices, imaging centers, hospitals and other healthcare provider
organizations. Prior to VitalWorks, he was Chief Executive Officer of Datamedic,
a healthcare technology firm specializing in electronic medical records, and
practice management software and services. Dr. Kahane holds an M.S. in computer
science from the Johns Hopkins University and an M.D. from Emory University.
After completing his residency at Johns Hopkins, he became the Medical Director
of Information Systems and served on the faculty.
