Stephen A. Hurly

STEPHEN A. HURLY has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of
FASTNET Corporation since December 2000. Mr. Hurly comes to FASTNET from
Chase H&Q in San Francisco, California, as a Vice President in the
Global Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Practice. At Chase H&Q, Mr.
Hurly concentrated in the emerging communications technology industry.
Recently Mr. Hurly has worked with the CEO’s office, focusing on early-
stage technology companies and helping them raise venture capital, find
and execute highly strategic acquisitions as well as specializing in
restructuring business models. In addition, he has spent several years
in management functions in the financial services industry. Mr. Hurly
holds an Engineering degree from Swarthmore College and an MBA from the
University of Chicago.
