Simon M. Turner

SIMON M. TURNER has been a Principal of Hotel Capital Advisers, Inc.,
since 1996. Hotel Capital is a hotel investment advisory and asset
management firm that assists HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz
Al Saud in his hotel investment activities. Prior to 1996, Mr. Turner
was a New York-based member of the Investment Banking Department of
Salomon Brothers. He returned to Salomon Brothers’ New York office in
1994 after spending five years in London leading the firm’s European
hotel investment banking activities. Before joining Salomon Brothers in
1987, Mr. Turner was a Manager in the Washington, DC, office of Pannell
Kerr Forster, a leading hotel and tourism consulting firm throughout the
world. Mr. Turner previously worked in Saudi Arabia for Gustar
Hoteliers, a Swiss-based hotel management and marketing company with
properties in Europe and the Middle East, and for Sheraton in the United
States. Mr. Turner received a Bachelor of Science in Hotel
Administration from Cornell University. Mr. Turner is a member of the
Urban Land Institute and serves on that organization’s hotel council and
is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. He is a
member of Fairmont Hotels’ operating committee and serves as a member of
the Board of Directors of Four Seasons and as a member of its Audit
Committee.
