Sidney B. Deboer

SIDNEY B. DEBOER is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lithia
Motors, Inc. His professional background began in 1964, working for his
father as an Office Manager in an automobile dealership. From 1966 to
1968 he sold cars. Afterwards he became a Dodge dealer in Ashland,
Oregon and has been managing dealerships ever since. Mr. DeBoer attended
the University of Oregon where he studied Business Education and the
University of Oregon where he majored in Accounting. From 1983 to 1997
he has received numerous awards, the latest being ‘Time Magazine Quality
Dealer Award’ in 1997. His professional memberships include: American
Import Automotive Dealers Association; Chrysler Dealer Council; Honda
Dealer Council; Medford New Car Dealers Association; National Auto
Dealers Association; Oregon Auto Dealers Association; and Toyota Dealers
Council.
