Seifi Ghasemi

SEIFI GHASEMI is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rockwood
Specialties Inc., a leading specialty chemical company, focused in
additives, electronic chemical and specialty compounds, with operations
throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He joins Rockwood from GKN
plc, a $7 billion global industrial company, where he was a member of
the main Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of GKN’s Powder
Metallurgy business. Prior to joining GKN, Mr. Ghasemi was a main Board
Director of The BOC Group plc, a global chemical company based in
London, President of BOC Gases, Americas (formerly Airco, Inc) and
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Process Plants. Mr. Ghasemi
earned an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in
1967.
