Sanjay Shrestha is a Managing Director and Senior Analyst at Lazard Capital
Markets LLC. Prior to joining LCM, he was a Managing Director and Senior
Research Analyst at First Albany Capital, where he built the firm’s alternative
energy and industrial research practice into one of Wall Street’s leading
alternative energy franchises. During his seven-year tenure at First Albany, he
hosted specialized and focused industry conferences, including solar conferences
and electric transmission and distribution conferences. Prior to joining First
Albany in 2000, he was an analyst at CL King and Associates, where he covered
the broad industrial sector. Prior to that, he gained experience as a consultant
in retail banking and as a software entrepreneur. He has been recognized by
Forbes/Starmine as the number one Earnings Estimator for 2006 and the number one
Stock Picker for 2006. He has been widely quoted as an industry expert in
various publications/media, including The Wall Street Journal, Investor’s
Business Daily, Barron’s, BusinessWeek, Forbes, CNN, CNBC and CNNfn. He has been
keynote speaker at NYSSA’s Annual Alternative Energy Conference each year since
its inception in 2003. He received an undergraduate degree in Finance from The
College of St. Rose.
