Samuel Von Martens

SAMUEL VON MARTENS, Managing Director of Neomarkka Plc. Samuel von Martens, Managing Director of Neomarkka Plc, was appointed to his present position in November 2000. Mr von Martens started his professional career in 1989 as a consultant at Ekono Ltd, which in 1992 became a part of the Jaakko Pyry Group, the world’s largest consultant for the pulp and paper industry. In 1996 he was appointed vice President for Ekono Energy Ltd’s Swedish Markets and was responsible for starting a Swedish branch for the company. From 1997 on he was deputy Managing Director for the Swedish branch. Beside the management duties during his years with the Jaakko Pyry Group, he had responsibility for several corporate finance type consultancies and for senior project management of engineering projects. In 1998 he moved on to the Norvestia Group where he worked as an Investment Project Director and then as deputy Managing Director for Neomarkka prior to his current position. Mr von Martens is a graduate from the Helsinki University of Technology (1990) and holds a M.Sc. in Energy Economics, Industrial Energy Technology and Industrial Production Planning.
