Russell Solt

RUSSELL SOLT joined West Marine, Inc. in January 2000 as Senior Vice
President, CFO and Secretary. He was elected an Executive President of
the company in March 2001. From 1995 to May 1999, Mr. Solt served first
as Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration and then as
President of Venture Stores, Inc., a discount retailer. From 1994 to
1995, he served as CFO of Williams-Sonoma, Inc.
