Royston Smith

ROYSTON SMITH is the Chairman of Bristol & West Investments Plc. He has
over 30 years experience in the bridging loan and similar lending
business. After working as a Company Accountant, he established Smith,
Martyn & Co., Limited in 1962 as a mortgage lending business, which was
sold, together with Smith, Martyn & Co, to Orbit Holdings in 1973.
Following a further period in insurance broking and running his own
Banking Company, Mr Smith joined his son Martyn, at a secondary lending
business with similar operations to the Company in 1984, which continued
until the early 1990s. Mr Smith, together with his son Martyn, then
commenced the Company’s current business.
