Ross M. Patten

ROSS M. PATTEN is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of
Synagro Technologies, Inc. His extensive expertise in all aspects of
solid waste and environmental management. Mr. Patten implemented and
managed the growth of Synagro from a $20 million biosolids service
prover to the nation’s largest organic residuals company with revenues
in excess of $250 million and operations across the United States. He
provided leadership of numerous management initiatives including
national management information system, acquisition integration plan,
market development initiatives, and regulatory/legislative oversight
program. Prior to joining Synagro he was Founder, Principal and Managing
Director of Bedford Capital and Bedford Management from 1996-1998; from
1994-1996 he was Director and Vice President, Business Development for
ReSOURCE NE, Inc.; from 1989-1991 he was Executive Vice President of
Development for Wheelabrator Technologies, Inc., and from 1972-1989 Mr.
Patten was Divisional Vice President-Corporate Development with Browning
Ferris Industries, Inc.
