Robert M. Patterson

ROBERT M. PATTERSON is founder, Chairman, President and CEO of The
SPACECONNECTION, Inc., a leading entity within the satellite
communications field, that specializes in providing satellite
transmission services for the broadcast, cable, educational and
entertainment industries worldwide. Mr. Patterson, a pioneer in the
satellite industry, has accomplished numerous firsts since the advent of
the world’s first commercial communications satellite ‘Early Bird’ in
the sixties and is continuing this trend today by utilizing digitally
compressed technology. As President & CEO of SPACECONNECTION, Bob
continued his tradition of firsts, by coordinating the inaugural
satellite transmissions of High Definition Television international and
U.S. distribution. In 1997, the Company, along with Mr. Carl Humphreys
and Mr. Rick Ball, formed a new entity Mobile Satellite Connection.
This entity became the premier, technological advanced transportable
uplink company in the country; by designing and building the first-ever
transportable uplink unit that can transmit both analog and digitally-
compressed signals in either C-Band or Ku-Band technology, using a 2.4
meter antenna. Mr. Patterson is a native of Queens, New York. Bob holds
a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, NH and
is a trustee of the college. In 2002, Bob’s alma mater bestowed
recognition of his services to Franklin Pierce College by naming its
production studios in the Fitzwater Communication Center the ‘Patterson
Broadcasting Suite’. Mr. Patterson, also, holds the degree of Master of
Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, where
he was bestowed the coveted honor of being voted ‘TOP ENTREPRENEUR’ by
his MBA graduating class.
