Robert D. Goldstein

Robert D. Goldstein, President of The Equity Group, founded the firm in
1974. Under his leadership, The Equity Group has provided fully
integrated investor relations counsel and financial public relations
services to hundreds of micro to mid-cap companies in a variety of
industries, including health care, technology, consumer
products/services, financial services and leisure. The majority of The
Equity Group’s new business is acquired through referrals, and many
clients have been with The Equity Group for five to ten plus years. Mr.
Goldstein has assembled a staff of financially experienced account
executives with excellent investment community/media contacts and
professional writing skills, and an extremely well organized
administrative staff that averages 10 years with the company. Over the
years, Mr. Goldstein, along with the rest of the firm, has developed a
proprietary database, Equibase, consisting of over 30,000 contacts in
the investment and media communities. Equibase also enables The Equity
Group to generate activity reports for its clients and assume many of
their administrative responsibilities. Mr. Goldstein’s expertise in the
area of finance, his real world know-how of the investment community and
hands-on approach provide an invaluable resource and a true value-added
service to The Equity Group’s clients. He acts in an advisory capacity,
counseling clients on their business plans, their dealings with the
financial community, and all areas that relate to clients’ postures as
public companies. Before founding The Equity Group, Mr. Goldstein was
Vice President of a New York City-based investor relations firm,
Assistant to the President of Federated Capital Corp. (an SBIC), and on
the audit staff of Ernst & Young. He has an MBA from Harvard Business
School.
