Robert B. Goergen

ROBERT B. GOERGEN has been Chairman & CEO of Blyth Industries, Inc.,
since 1976. Mr. Goergen also serves as Blyth’s President. He has also
been Chairman of The Ropart Group, a private equity investments firm,
since 1979, and has served in a non-executive capacity as Chairman of
Xtra Corp., an NYSE-listed trailer leasing company, since 1990. Mr.
Goergen was a partner in Goergen & Sterling from 1982 to 1986, and was
previously associated with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, McKinsey &
Company, McCann-Erickson and Procter & Gamble. He holds a BA in Physics
from the University of Rochester and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton
Graduate School at the University of Pennsylvania.
