Rick Green

RICK GREEN, President and Chief Executive Officer of Southwest Bancorp,
Inc., was named Chief Executive Officer of Stillwater National Bank in
November 1998. Prior to his promotion, Mr. Green served as President of
the Central Oklahoma Division. Mr. Green established his banking career
in 1967 as a part-time teller at SNB. He has held various titles and has
been in charge of many departments at Stillwater National Bank,
including loan services, lending, marketing, mortgage lending and
manager of a division. Recently he successfully managed the SNB
Performance Group in developing the bank’s growth strategies. In
addition to his experience at SNB, he has served as Assistant Bursar at
Oklahoma State University. He graduated from Oklahoma State University
in 1970 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance and Marketing, as
well as a Master’s in Banking from Louisiana State University in 1998.
Mr. Green, a native Oklahoman, grew up in Altus, Oklahoma. Active in the
Oklahoma Bankers Association (OBA), Mr. Green has served as the
organization’s Marketing Committee Chairman, been a member of the
Commercial Lending Committee and various activities committees. He has
attended a wide array of American Banker Association classes, as well as
developed a strong education in mortgage banking through the Mortgage
Banker’s Association’s class offerings. He has also completed schooling
and seminars with the American Management Association’s sales and
financial marketing groups. Additionally, Mr. Green has served as
President of the Payne County Bankers Association, President and
Chairman of Stillwater Kiwanis and Director of the Payne County Child
Welfare Development Board and Payne County Youth Services Board. He has
served as Chairman of the City of Stillwater Parks and Recreation Board,
the Stillwater Planning Housing Board, the Chamber Ambassador and House
Committees. He was co-Chair of the Stillwater United Way Fund Drive. Mr.
Green is a graduate of Leadership Stillwater and Leadership Oklahoma
City, a lifetime member of the OSU Alumni Association, a member of the
OSU Foundation Board of Governors, and a member of the Board of
Directors for Karsten Creek,. Mr. Green is also on the Advisory Board
for Alex Sheshunoff Banking Services and past advisory member of SMU
Graduate School of Banking Planning Board.
