Richard T. Dean

RICHARD T. DEAN, Ph.D., President, Chief Executive Officer, and a
Director since April 1990, is a founder of the company. Prior to joining
the company, Dr. Dean served as Director of Radiopharmaceutical Research
and Development at Centocor, Inc., a pharmaceutical company
("Centocor"), from 1986 to 1990, where he was responsible for
cardiovascular radiopharmaceutical imaging agent research and
development. From 1981 to 1986, Dr. Dean served in a variety of
positions at Mallinckrodt, a pharmaceutical and surgical instruments
company, most recently as Associate Director, Diagnostic Chemistry
Research and Development. Dr. Dean received a B.S. in Chemical
Engineering from Cornell University, an M.S. in Chemistry from the
University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the
University of California, Berkeley.
