Richard R. Wackenhut

RICHARD R. WACKENHUT, President and Chief Operating Officer of The
Wackenhut Corporation, joined the company in 1973, after leaving the
United States military, where he was in the air force. Mr. Wackenhut has
numerous civic positions and memberships including: Vice Chairman,
Associated Industries of Florida; Chairman 1998 Walk for the Cure,
Juvenile Diabetes Foundation; member, American Security Management
Association, International Association of Chiefs of Police. He attended
The Citadel, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political
Science and also studied Administration at Harvard University’s School
of Business.
