Richard J. Effress

RICHARD J. EFFRESS is Chairman of the Board, CEO, and co-Founder of Med
Source Technologies. In addition to founding and managing MedSource
Technologies, Inc., Mr. Effress is a founding partner of Kidd & Company,
a venture management firm, where he participated in the development and
growth of Chatham Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of custom
electronic enclosure systems for the communications industry. In August
2000, Chatham was acquired by Flextronics International, Ltd., for an
enterprise value of approximately $900 million; and the business is now
the cornerstone of Flextronics’ Enclosures division. He received a BS in
Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and
an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
