Richard Hayes

RICHARD HAYES is the Chief Executive of IFG Group Plc. He was born in
Cork in September 1948. He was educated at Downside Benedictine Abbey in
England and trained with Coopers and Lybrand as an accountant. In 1973,
he worked as PA to Lord Wigg, Chairman of Horserace Betting Levy Board,
after two years he joined Lawrence, Prost & Co Stockbrokers in London as
Corporate Finance Executive. In 1976, Mr Hayes moved to Allied Irish
Investment Bank in Dublin where he remained until taking up the Chief
Executive role with Arthur Ring & Sons Limited. In 1986, he was
appointed an Executive Director with IWP International (now Non-
Executive) and in 1989 he became Chief Executive of IFG Group Plc.
