Richard C. Birkmeyer

RICHARD C. BIRKMEYER cofounded SDI in 1990 and has served as its
President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director since its
inception. Prior to founding SDI, Mr. Birkmeyer was employed by E.I. du
Pont de Nemours from 1983 to 1990, where he most recently served as
Product Manager. Mr. Birkmeyer received a PhD in Biochemistry/Immunology
from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He currently serves
as an active Board member on the Delaware Innovation Fund, the Tech Corp
of Delaware and the State University of New York Advisory Board.
