Ric Dupont

RIC DUPONT, PhD, is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Dupont is responsible for the overall strategic direction and
development of terna Laboratories Inc. Dr. Dupont founded terna
Laboratories in 1991 while completing his PhD in Physiology-
Endocrinology and a Certificate in Business Administration at Laval
University. Dr. Dupont also completed Post-Doctoral tudies in Neuro-
Endocrinology at the Research Centre of the Notre-Dame Hospital in
Montreal, a research center affiliated with the University of Montreal.
During his studies, Dr. Dupont was the recipient of a fellowship from
the Medical Research Council of Canada from 1990 to 1993. He has also
received numerous awards of excellence for his work. Dr. Dupont is one
of the inventors on the patents covering the angiogenesis inhibitor
compound -941 developed by terna. Numerous organizations have already
recognized the quality of Dr. Dupont’s achievements as well as those of
terna, such as the Foundation Armand-Frappier (Prize winner for
Emerging Industries, 1996), the Laval University Alumni (‘Raymond Blais’
Medal, 1996), and the Caldwell Partners International (‘Top 40 under
forty’, 1996). Dr. Dupont is the author or co-author of over fifty
scientific publications and lectures.
